2/14:  Siempre United.  Ok y’all,  it’s been well over a decade since I took high school Spanish.  But these dudes are super cool on Twitter and have a lot of fans, so I told them I would attempt a recap:

DARLINGTON NAGBE’s name was talked about for a long time.  They swapped in new hosts mid episode (the Parceros?), and one briefly switched to English, until they all called him a gringo.  They all lose it when one of the hosts doesn’t know the Spanish word for corner kick.  They start the lame Google Translate chant for Pity Martinez, then decide it should only be done in Spanish.

Anyway – These guys are great, and if you know limited Spanish, it is worth checking out.

2/20: Unrelegated:  MAKE WAY FOR THE QUEENS OF THE SOUTH – Kelly and Jessica spend an excessive amount of time talking about lines and queues.  We find out that Mrs. Frances apparently looks  a lot like Jessica, and the ladies give major props to Josef for his english interview skills

2/21: For the Culture- The guys talk HBCU homecoming weeks.  HOW OLD IS FABO?  And do white people know who he is?  Was Roger talking up 21 Savage genuine or pandering?  They get ready for the REAL Champions League.

2/20: Cooligans – guest Kyle Martino.  Alexis and Christian try to keep a straight face while discussing Orlando’s upcoming season.  They give Street FC nicknames for Kyle (Beef Patty) and Alexis (Heart Disease) and discuss Kyle’s quest to get a verified Instagram account.

2/18:  Home Before Dark – All they want from you is to write an iTunes review.

Oh, `and Dan thinks Orlando will be Atlanta this season.  @ him appropriately.

2/11: Unrelegated- with special guest: Devon4real and ME!  Thanks to the crew for having me out for Miggy Magpie Monday at Hudson FC.  We talk about the site, rappers who are fans, and Miggy’s performance in his first Newcastle match.  THANKS GUYS LOVE YOU.

2/13: For the Culture- Kab Hakim and Nicole Hercules guest. CCL match at THE NEST?! Why Nagbe might want to head to Columbus to be the star. MLS clubs getting away with charging for kit reveals when they all look plain, white, and boring while the NBA is releasing around 7 jerseys per team.

During the interview, they talk about the lack of representation of black coaches across ALL levels of American soccer.  Nicole talks about how she took away basketballs from rec center for a month and set up goals to appeal to youth.

2/13: The Cooligans – guest USWMNT player Ali Krieger!  Christian calls in from the slopes of Vail where he’s busy bringing down property values. The guys use their radio voices to talk Philly tacos, Miggy’s abs, JJ Watt’s lack of keeper skills.

Ali fits right in as the future third Cooligan and talks about the Orlando Pride, USWNT, and wishing she could spill tea about her experience.

2/8 Home Before Dark:  STATE OF THE UNION – Big things popping for the guys this season including interviewing opposing teams podcasts for match previews, Meat and Greet, shop, call in line, and they’ve now raised the funds to pay Dan’s ransom.

2/11:  Guest Terminus Legion’s Domer Donaldson: Thanks to the guys for the shout out to our site!  Garza’s hip may explode at any moment, and they recap Miggy’s Newcastle debut, and why these starless authentic kits are alienating a large part of the fanbase.

2/10:  Atlanta Baseball Talk – Steve, Hammy and Curt talk about the Phillies landing Realmuto.  Would it have been worth giving up young talent like Austin Riley for him?

HOW CHEAP IS OUR FRONT OFFICE?! They seem to act like we are going for big signings, then nothing happens. We are below last year’s spending and pitching / catching are about to report.

Soccer Down Here:  (All Week) I don’t have an episode by episode breakdown, but they had a great week.  Great interview with Tony Annan where we learn that Atlanta United provides scholarship opportunities for academy player who have to skip college.

Jason reviews the Grammys and we both agree that good music won big awards with great performances throughout the night.

Jozy says personalities are not allowed in the American soccer.  It begins in the youth level with coaches

Almiron to Newcastle

Atlanta United breaks another record

By now you know, Miggy is gone, and for a record transfer fee.  It was always the plan, and what was best for him and the club.  But we made sure to appreciate every moment of greatness we witnessed on the field.

We wish Miguel and his left foot the best of luck in Europe, and Atlanta just got a whole lot more Newcastle fans.

Thanks to Jay Riddle for the great video tribute below during his podcast sabbatical.
